Rare 60s ashtray by Gabbianelli designed by OPI studio. A rare ceramic masterpiece, made by the Gabbianelli company based on the studio's design. This exceptional ashtray features a vibrant red glazed ceramic frame and lid. Its versatility goes far beyond its original function as an ashtray. Although it was produced in the 1960s, it is in such impeccable condition that it is suitable for use as a centerpiece or as an elegant jewelry box.

The Gabbianelli company was already active in the years before World War II, and is based in Milan, Italy, at 11 Via San Pietro all'Orto. The production of this manufactory was led by Rolando Hettner and consists of a wide range of modern ceramic creations, including majolica, vases, bomboniere, lamp bases, wall plates, decorative floor tiles, wall panels and sacred-themed figurines.

During the 1950s and 1960s, the manufactory had the privilege of collaborating with the famous designer GiĆ² Ponti, contributing to the elevation of Italian ceramic art.

During the 1970s and 1980s, another renowned designer, Sergio Asti, collaborated with the manufactory, bringing innovation and creativity to their production.
