Born in Varese, Ambrogio Pozzi developed his education immersed in the rich ceramic tradition of Faenza. His passion for this versatile and fascinating material led him to transform it into an authentic medium of artistic expression. Initially contributing to the family business, Ceramica Franco Pozzi in Gallarate, Pozzi also collaborated with renowned foreign industries such as Rosenthal and Thomas. Through this collaboration, he has created objects that have left a significant mark in the history of international design. His iconic works include the series of Containers for the 13th Milan Triennale in 1964, the Compact service, Duo for Rosenthal, Cono for Pierre Cardin, and the in-flight service for Alitalia, created in partnership with Joe Colombo in 1970. However, Pozzi's artistic eclecticism was not limited to the world of ceramics. His creativity has constantly evolved and expanded his range, enriching production with innovative collections in materials such as plastic, glass, silver, steel and wood. In addition, his extraordinary talent in wristwatch design has further contributed to his artistic versatility. For Ambrogio Pozzi, graphic design, painting, sculpture, and photography represent different facets of a personality.
